A Tuesday Trifecta

My wife and I went out to eat Sunday evening and found ourselves in a complex in which there is a Dick's Sporting Goods. Only hours earlier I had seen a post on X about the chain store having massive amounts of 2025 Topps Chrome football. The temptation to go check out our local store was real, but reason won out over emotion. After all, I had three singles from eBay purchases arriving soon and any other cards I want from the set (all Bucs) will be acquired the same way. Or through trades. Anyway, Tuesday was my lucky day, as all three arrived in the mail. Hallelujah- it's a Tuesday Trifecta!!

I am not one of those who goes out of my way to collect all the parallels. Sure, there are certain ones I find pretty interesting (mostly in their early days) but for the most part, I just don't care. And Fanatics has gone full-out Panini in producing waaaay too many of them. But I did see this Mike Evans Ray Wave Refractor and decided to add it to the collection. Not because I think it's that great looking- but since the Bucs play at Raymond James Stadium. I've officially jumped the shark with this purchase.

Morrison had a disappointing rookie season in 2025. Drafted as the eventual replacement for oft-injured cornerback Jamel Dean, Morrison himself started out by missing part of camp and then the three preseason games, which slowed his development. He then missed seven games over his rookie year due to hamstring injuries. Regardless, this is a cool looking card and I'd love to get a refractor.

Finally, this Fortune 15 Emeka Egbuka card is another looker. I would really like to see this design in an etched look, like so many of those striking inserts from the 1990s. And I find it funny that the design for this insert set features hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades; the gambling mentality has overtaken the hobby, so it's quite fitting.
