Discipline

Far removed from a Sunday afternoon in Dallas, a Monday Night in Miami, or a Thursday evening in Indy, Bowman captures rookie Tim Ruddy long before the stadiums say, "enter."

Dressed in Dolphins gear- a crisp white practice jersey subtly bearing his assigned number and vibrant orange shorts- Ruddy has the focus of a man in the quiet, methodical preparation of an NFL training camp.

Hands are taped for the grind, one firmly gripping the pigskin against the lush, deep-green turf as he's crouched in his three-point stance. A split second away from a snap.

In contrast to the physical demand of his position, a brilliant blue sky meets a distant, dark tree line, while clouds drift lazily in the upper corner. Shadows cast across the field highlight the fine texture of the grass.

Chaos will transpire once the season begins, but until then, it's the quiet discipline of a lineman at work.
